Slowing down the 1-5-5 Nano blitz/cheese

It seems that in alot of ranked matches its win at all cost. Which is understandable, but just not my style. Im sure alot of you guys have faced the 1-5-5 cheese defense. Im also sure that its all your opponent ran the entire game. Thier is one counter that isnt flawless, but does buy you more time and if you are smart you can actually move the ball. This formation is the any of the split back style formations. Pick pass plays out of these sets and audble bout RBs in the backfield to block left and right. You have alot more time to pass and people will get open. Like I said though it isnt flawless and you have to be a patient player because moving the ball by dinking and dunking is your only option while doing this. Hope this helps some of you.

Thanks PRUDENT. I have run across this online too and it is terribly annoying. Your right if they run it once they run it pretty much the entire game.

if your opponent is running a 1-5-5 and nano blitzing then line up in a power 0 and run the ball outside to the weak side of the defense or up the middle if they are spread out

The game is flawed and they will shut down any run up the middle. You think 1 DL i should be able to tear this formation up in the middle, but it rarely works.

This is by far the worst thing about this years and last years game. Especially when theyre shifting their LB's back and forth. I have found success with quick RB screens or slot receiver screens as well as power running.

What I use when my opponent is 1-5-5 shaking is Split Close Hb Wheel, streak both outside wr's and block both the players in the backfield. Look to hit the outpost right as soon as he makes his break. Out posts are very effective against man to man defense and some zones and if your opponent is shake blitzing, he probably doesn't really care about the coverage. Also versus zone coverage, Throw a down and outside pass lead to either streak for an easy spec catch animation. Another option is putting both players in the backfield a light blue route and as soon as they chip a defender they will usually get wide open against the blitz.

shotty tight slots double hitch and outs work... prttymuch any play with multiple quick hitches will confuse ur opponet and makethem have to choose. just be carful when they disguise zone or hotroute players
