There has been plenty of unrest within the basketball video game community about the complete lack of post-release support for the major NBA titles released this year. EA Sports has pledged to provide a roster update for NBA Jam after months of silence. And now 2K Sports is stepping up their game and trying to get another roster update out by the end of this weekend. Ronnie 2K, the community manager for NBA 2k12, posted on his twitter account that another roster update will be on it’s way shortly. There are still a few rookies that need to be added to the game and fans have been clamoring for even more detailed updates.

The ninth roster update for NBA 2k12 is now available. Some of the notable updates include the addition of Andrew Bynum to the Lakers after his suspension and Keith Smart as the Kings coach. Many of the second round picks that weren’t included in previous updates have now been added to the game. However, there are still a few rookies missing. Some players who have been part of their teams the whole season can not yet be used online because they are listed as reserves.
