All Madden football fans know that every April a slew of new rookies come into the NFL and more importantly the next year’s Madden game.  Madden 13 has a few impact rookies that will make huge differences on their respective teams.  Below we have the overall ratings for some of those rookies as well as a detailed look at a few of them.  Keep in mind that these numbers and ratings could still change in the months leading up to Madden NFL 13. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

With the 90 minute presentation and gameplay live stream and the Madden 13 cover athlete reveal live on SportsNation, many fans over looked the 2 brand new video that EA Sports put up on Youtube.  The first goes over some of the improvements that they are trying to showcase in Madden 13 like new pass trajectories, new defensive AI, and the new play-action system.  The second goes over commentary, instant replay, and pre-game introductions.  Check them out below and let us know what you think in the comments section.

After 20 million votes and over 2 months of hype, the Madden 13 cover athlete has been announced.  Calvin Johnson will be on the cover of this year’s Madden NFL game after his dominant performance last year.  The road to the cover wasn’t an easy one for Megatron.  He started as a 6 seed and had to beat a handful of very popular players like Dwayne Bowe, Arian Foster, Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Rodgers, and Cam Newton in the finals.

Last year, Peyton Hillis won the cover vote but then followed with a disastrous season causing some fans to claim that the “Madden Curse” is back.  Let’s hope this year’s cover athlete does not fall to the “Madden Curse.”

The first detailed Madden 13 news on gameplay and presentation came out today via a live webcast from EA Sports.  Upon first look, the new additions to NCAA Football 13 and Madden 13 are very similar.  Depending on your point of view this could be great news or it could make you pretty frustrated.  We highlighted a few of their key points below but for the full details, check out the video at the end of this post.
