Heisman Challenge: Play With Past Greats on Any Team

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have Herschel Walker on your favorite college football team? NCAA Football 13 will allow you to play that fantasy out in its brand new feature titled, “Heisman Challenge.” Yesterday we showed you screenshots of Tim Tebow and Robert Griffin III in this game mode and today we have the full details. In this new feature, you will be able to take previous Heisman trophy winner’s and place them on any team you would like.

If you download the NCAA Football 13 demo, you will get additional Heisman winners Jim Plunkett, Archie Griffin, and Tim Brown. If you pre-order from Gamestop, you will receive Tim Tebow, Mark Ingram and Matt Leinart.

NBA 2K13 Coming to Nintendo Wii U

NBA 2K13 will be released on the Wii U. This is the first sports game that has been confirmed to be playable on Nintendo’s newest console. There is no word yet on the release date but most people expect it to be out in November just in time for the big holiday season rush.

This brings the console total that NBA 2K13 is playable on up to six: PlayStation 3, XBOX 360, PC, PSP, Wii, and Wii U. Right now we haven’t heard anything about a possible PS Vita release.

NBA 2K13 Will Feature All-Star Weekend

Big news came out of 2K Sports this morning with the announcement that the 2013 NBA All-Star game in Houston will be featured in NBA 2K13. This includes the 3 point shooting contest, slam dunk contest, rising stars challenge, and the all-star game. There is one big catch… You have to pre-order the game to get it. You can place your order today on the XBOX 360 or PlayStation 3 through Amazon.com.

The advantages of pre-ordering NBA 2K13 through Amazon is that most states you aren’t charged sales tax, you get guaranteed release date shipping for only 1 dollar, and now you also get the All-Star Weekend. It is really a no-brainer. However, this promotion will be coming to other retailers as well so if you prefer a different store, you can buy it their too. Just remember, in order to get the new game mode, you have to pre-order.

EA Sports has released 2 new NCAA Football 13 screenshots in advance of tomorrow’s big news and complete details on the new NCAA 13 game mode, “Heisman Challenge.” While very little is known about what it will include at this point, there has been a lot of hype surrounding former Heisman trophy winners with Barry Sanders and Robert Griffin III on the cover.

NHL 13 New Features and Improvements

There has been plenty of speculation over the last few weeks about what exactly will be in NHL 13. There are a lot of brand new improvements as well some minor tweaks that those of you who played NHL 12 will notice right away.

Earlier today, EA Sports posted a 2 videos that NHL 13 fans will definitely want to watch. The first is about an hour long webcast of community day. The second is a trailer that shows off skating and what they are calling, “every stride matters.”

NHL 13 Cover Vote Final 4

The NHL 13 cover vote has reached the final 4 candidates. Pekka Rinne battles John Tavares on one side of the bracket while Evgeni Malkin faces Claude Giroux on the other side. The voting for this round is open until May 28th with the finals starting the next day. You can vote over at NHL.com.

The hype for the NHL 13 cover vote never took off like it’s football counterpart Madden 13. This can partly be attributed to the 2-3 month voting period which stalled any real hype within the media. Nevertheless, NHL fans have stuck with the process which ends June 20th.
