Cross Platform Compatibility in MLB 12: The Show

One of the coolest features in MLB 12: The Show is the cross platform compatibility function. Essentially this allows you to take a game that you were playing on your PlayStation 3 directly to your PS Vita. So if you were in the middle of a close game in the 8th inning but you had to go somewhere and you just couldn’t wait to finish the game, you could finish it up on your PS Vita. It works the other way as well. If you have some free time at work, you can start a game on your PS Vita and finish it up on your PS3 when you get home.
Sony released a video advertisement showcasing this new feature on their PlayStation Youtube channel. You can see it below:
Another NBA 2K12 Roster Update Arrives

The second NBA 2K12 roster update in the last 3 days has been released today. In the last update, Jeremy Lin was boosted from a 55 to a 69. Many fans did not think that a 69 was a fair rating based on the way he has been playing lately so after this update Jeremy Lin now is a 75 overall.
2K Sports has been all over the place this year in the consistency of their roster updates. Before the update 3 days ago, we had to wait 3 very long weeks before Jeremy Lin’s play forced them to correct his stats. Is 75 overall a fair rating for Lin? Let us know in the comments section.

FIFA & Madden 12 Sales Totals
EA Sports has released the sales totals for their 2 most popular sports video game titles FIFA 12 and Madden 12. FIFA 12 sold 10 millions copies while the popular football game Madden 12 sold 5 million. These numbers are total sales all the way through to the consumer as opposed to sales to retail stores like our report on NBA 2K12’s 4 million copies sold. FIFA 12 sales are great in comparison to the blockbuster shooter franchise Battlefield 3 which also sold 10 million copies. It looks like the NFL lockout and the release date being pushed back 3 weeks didn’t seem to hurt sales of Madden 12.
