Earlier today NBA 2K12 community manager Ronnie 2K revealed via twitter that another NBA 2K12 roster update is on its way out to both PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360 within 48 hours. There is still no word on Jeremy Lin’s ratings but our users have been leaving their suggestions in our Tim Tebow vs. Jeremy Lin ratings article. Hopefully the release of this update means that the freezing issue that had been troubling some PS3 users over the last few days has been all fixed up. Which players other than Jeremy Lin deserve the biggest ratings boost?

Jeremy Lin or Tim Tebow: Who Deserves The Higher Rating?
If you were to tune into SportsCenter at a random time 2 months ago chances are that you would see full-time coverage of Tim Tebow. Now that football season is over, most of us expected the sports world to return to normalcy. No one expected Jeremy Lin and “Linsanity” to steal every headline across the country. Both Lin and Tebow have people who claim them to be the savior of their franchises as well as those that claim they are nothing more than being in the right place at the right time.
That got us to thinking which player deserves the higher rating in their respective video game Madden 12 and NBA 2K12. We don’t have a definitive answer so we are leaving it up to you. Vote in our poll and then go to the comments section below and tell us what you think their ratings should be.

MLB 2K12/NBA 2K12 Combo Pack
2K Sports is bringing fans a heavily discounted way to get 2 great games for a huge discount. Starting on March 6th, you will be able to get both MLB 2K12 and NBA 2K12 for only $69.99. Sadly for PlayStation 3 owners this bundle is only available on XBOX 360, but it probably doesn’t matter because most baseball fans with a PS3 will buy MLB 12: The Show anyway.
This is not some sort of discounted version of both games combined into one. You get the full version of both MLB 2K12 and NBA 2K12. You will still be able to complete in the perfect game challenge, play online, and all of of that good stuff. Jason Ardent the vice president of marketing for 2K sports had this to say,
If you are serious about sports gaming, this offer is simply too good to pass up. Fans waiting to get their hands on MLB 2K12 will also be able to grab NBA 2K12, our greatest basketball title to date.
If you are interested in getting the MLB 2K12/NBA 2k12 bundle, you can pre-order it on amazon for only $69.99. Do you plan on buying it?
NBA 2k12 Sells 4 Million Copies
Take Two Interactive announced on their earnings call tonight that the sales of their popular basketball video game NBA 2k12 has reached 4 million copies. NBA 2k12 is on pace to outsell last year’s game NBA 2k11. Much like Madden NFL 12, the sales were initially threatened by the possibility of a long term lockout but that has all since been resolved. Take Two Interactive posted a profit of $14.1 million dollars in the 4th quarter of 2011.
Unfortunately THQ, the maker of the upcoming video game UFC Undisputed 3, had less encouraging news announcing that they will be laying off 240 employees and reported worse than expected earnings. They reported a loss of $55.9 million in the 4th quarter of 2011. UFC Undisputed 3 comes out on February 14th, 2012 in the United States and February 17th, 2012 in Europe.
NBA 2K12 Roster Update Arrives
The latest roster update for NBA 2K12 went live today on the XBOX 360 and PlayStation 3. Thankfully, all of the rookies that should be in the game now are. To download the update just turn on the living rosters feature and the latest rosters will be installed on your system automatically. Big men like Kwame Brown and Al Horford have seen drops due to their injuries but Dwayne Wade, who has missed an extended period of time, has been left intact.
Nate Robinson joined the Golden State Warriors while Ricky Rubio saw a big increase to a 78 overall. There are still a few players that are missing from the game which hopefully gets addressed in the next NBA 2k12 roster update.
