Having a variety of moves in FIFA 12 is essential to keep your opponents off balance. The heel chop is the perfect move for cutting inside from the wing. The great part about it is that you can perform it while jogging so you don’t have to slow down. Your player needs to have at least a 4 star rating to successfully pull off this move. Watch the video below to see exactly how to pull it off.
Madden 13 Expands Cover Athlete Vote To 64
Last year’s 32 player cover athlete voting was a huge success in that 13 million votes were cast and there was a buzz around Madden 12 months before the game was set to come out. There will be another cover athlete vote for Madden 13 but this year instead of starting with a 32 man field, it will start with 64 players. The first round will match 2 teammates against each other as a sort of play-in game.
Right now the odds on favorite to win the whole thing is Tim Tebow of course but as you can tell from last year’s voting there seems to be an element of luck involved. No one would have predicted Peyton Hillis to be the cover athlete on Madden 12 but he came out of nowhere riding the support of Browns fans and fans of other teams that didn’t want to leave the fate of their star player in the hands of the Madden Curse.
The bracket will be announced on ESPN’s SportsNation on March 7th. What players from your team would you like to see in the tournament? Do you want your favorite player to win or would you prefer not to chance it?
NBA 2k12 Sells 4 Million Copies
Take Two Interactive announced on their earnings call tonight that the sales of their popular basketball video game NBA 2k12 has reached 4 million copies. NBA 2k12 is on pace to outsell last year’s game NBA 2k11. Much like Madden NFL 12, the sales were initially threatened by the possibility of a long term lockout but that has all since been resolved. Take Two Interactive posted a profit of $14.1 million dollars in the 4th quarter of 2011.
Unfortunately THQ, the maker of the upcoming video game UFC Undisputed 3, had less encouraging news announcing that they will be laying off 240 employees and reported worse than expected earnings. They reported a loss of $55.9 million in the 4th quarter of 2011. UFC Undisputed 3 comes out on February 14th, 2012 in the United States and February 17th, 2012 in Europe.

FIFA Street A New Direction
FIFA Street creative director Gary Patterson goes over the new direction he sees for FIFA Street. The video below is the first in-game footage and it includes a detailed look at the street ball control feature. You will notice how the players are just standing around instead of jogging or running which is more accurate in this year’s street football game.
NHL 12 Tips Kick Up Deke
The topic of today’s NHL 12 video tip is the kick-up or skate to stick deke. You will want to use this move to fake out your opponents and ultimately score more goals in NHL 12. The execution of the move is very simple: Hold down the L1/LB bumper and then hold the right stick down while using the left stick to aim. This may sound complicated but once you get it into practice mode it will start clicking pretty easily for you. It is best used against an opponent trying to stick check you. You can see in the video below just how effective the kick up deke is.
