MLB 2K12 Demo Arrives Next Week

The MLB 2K12 demo will arrive on Tuesday, February 28th on both the XBOX 360 and the PlayStation 3.  Those who download the demo will be able to play in a World Series rematch of the Texas Rangers vs. the St. Louis Cardinals (but only for 3 innings). This is a giant leap forward for MLB 2K12.  They haven’t released too much information regarding their upcoming game but by releasing the demo, they allow fans to decide for themselves.

We still haven’t heard any news about a possible MLB 12: The Show demo.  It could be that SCEA feels that they have done a good enough job on previous games to establish credibility so they see no need to put a demo out.  If the MLB 2K12 demo is any good and there isn’t a MLB 12: The Show demo, some bargain hunting fans may decide to purchase the NBA/MLB 2K12 combo pack from Amazon for only $69.99.

MLB 2K12 has partnered with Spin Media to produce the MLB 2K12 soundtrack.  There are 13 songs featured in this year’s Major League Baseball game.  MLB 2K12 comes out on March 6th, 2012 on the XBOX 360.  Check out the soundtrack below:

MLB 2K12/NBA 2K12 Combo Pack

2K Sports is bringing fans a heavily discounted way to get 2 great games for a huge discount.  Starting on March 6th, you will be able to get both MLB 2K12 and NBA 2K12 for only $69.99.  Sadly for PlayStation 3 owners this bundle is only available on XBOX 360, but it probably doesn’t matter because most baseball fans with a PS3 will buy MLB 12: The Show anyway.

This is not some sort of discounted version of both games combined into one.  You get the full version of both MLB 2K12 and NBA 2K12.  You will still be able to complete in the perfect game challenge, play online, and all of of that good stuff.  Jason Ardent the vice president of marketing for 2K sports had this to say,

If you are serious about sports gaming, this offer is simply too good to pass up. Fans waiting to get their hands on MLB 2K12 will also be able to grab NBA 2K12, our greatest basketball title to date.

MLB 2K12 Official Trailer

This year’s MLB 2K12 game is set to come out on March 6th, the same day that MLB 12: The Show is scheduled to be released.  While we have lots of news, screenshots, and trailers about The Show, news on MLB 2K12 has been kept largely a secret.  Today, 2K Sports released their official trailer for MLB 2K12 that includes 90 seconds of actual in-game footage.  Feel free to watch the full trailer and leave your comments below.

MLB 2k12 Trailer

A few days ago we broke down the MLB 2k12 $1 million dollar giveaway.  Now that the first information on the game has started to leak out, an official teaser trailer has been released by 2k Sports.  In the video below Justin Verlander asserts his dominance over a rookie just called up from the minor leagues.
