Jim Nantz and Phil Simms will form the announcing crew in Madden NFL 13. Gus Johnson and Cris Collinsworth called Madden 12 but it looks like they will be foced out this year. There has been a lot of talk about implementing a new commentary system from EA Sports’ FIFA game which should improve the relevancy of the announcing but there is still not too much information on that yet.

Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and Lions receiver Calvin Johnson will meet in the finals of the Madden 13 cover tournament. This comes as no surprise to people who followed the voting early on. Both Johnson and Newton breezed through their early round competition and appeared to be destined for the finals for quite some time.
Megatron beat out Aaron Rodgers with 67% of the vote while Newton beat Patrick Willis with only 53% of the votes. The final voting runs through Wednesday April 25th. You can place your vote anytime before then on the SportsNation website.
NCAA Football 12 disappointed a lot of fans. There is no way of getting around that. However, NCAA Football 13 actually looks like a massive improvement and will include features that the community actually wants. After holding community day a few months ago where they brought together various influential figures in NCAA Football 13, things look to be improved. In a webcast earlier today the developers talked about some of the features and improvements that they will be implementing into the NCAA Football 13 gameplay.
Some notable improvements include:
Read and react defensive AI.
No more psychic defensive backs.
New playaction passes.
Receivers are only available to throw to when they are looking.
Disguised Man/Zone coverage.
Different hot routes for running backs including swings routes and block and release routes.
Improved custom playbooks.

Barry Sanders will be joining Robert Griffin III on the cover of NCAA Football 13. Sanders beat out Herschel Walker in the finals of the 8 man tournament. NCAA Football 13 will have an added focus on the Heisman trophy. More information will be released in the upcoming weeks.
