We have received word that Robert Griffin III will be featured on the cover of NCAA Football 13.  There seems to be a focus on Heisman winners this year so this announcement shouldn’t shock anyone.  According to PastaPadre, RG3 will share the cover with a past Heisman trophy winner who will be decided in the same tournament style as the Madden 13 cover.

Beginning on March 12th fans will be able to vote for what former Heisman winner will share the cover with RG3 on Facebook. Barry Sanders, Desmond Howard, Marcus Allen, Doug Flutie, Eddie George, Herschel Walker, Charlie Ward, and Andre Ware will be the names to choose from.

5. Lucio (Inter Milan)

The best affordable Brazilian player with 85 defending he won’t let you down. He has 83 heading, 6’2 and he is also a great ball winner in the air. You can get him for only 6,000 coins, 85 overall.

4. John Terry (Chelsea)

He is very strong and has great defensive abilities with an 87 defence rating. Terry is over 6 feet tall and great in the air with his 85 heading. He is good at clearing the ball, scoring at corners and defending corners too. He costs 20,000 coins and is 86 overall.

3. Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United)

He too is very strong and has 86 defending. You won’t be able to get past him with 69 pace which is good for a defender. His 79 heading rating is not the best but still good. He is yours for only 25,000 coins, 87 overall.

2. Thiago Silva (Milan)

Silva is the best defender in Brazil. He is fast with 83 pace, tall, excellent defending at 86 and immense in the air with 86 heading. He is 80,000 coins and 87 overall. If you have the coins he is a MUST BUY.

1. Nemanja Vidic (Manchester United)

Vidic is the best defender on the game. He is a 6’2 Serbian monster who can take the ball from everyone (including Messi) with an astonishing 89 defence. He is great in the air with an incredible 91 heading. He costs only 100,000 coins and is 89 overall. If you have the coins he’s also a MUST BUY.

There will be new rules for kickoffs next college football season and true to EA Sport’s slogan, “It’s in the Game” NCAA Football 13 will include those changes.  Ben Haumiller, producer for NCAA Football 13, confirmed these changes in an email to The Gaming Tailgate.  Below are the new kickoff rules straight from the NCAA press release.

The Playing Rules Oversight Panel (PROP) during its conference call on Tuesday approved moving the kickoff and touchback lines beginning with the 2012 football season.

Next fall, teams will kick off at the 35-yard line instead of the 30. Also, touchbacks on free kicks will be moved to the 25-yard line instead of the 20 to encourage more touchbacks. Touchbacks on other plays (for example, punts that go into the end zone, or fumbles that go out of the end zone) will remain at the 20-yard line.

MLB 12: The Show Demo Playable At Best Buy

While it hasn’t been confirmed by SCEA, all signs point to having no pre-release demo for MLB 12: The Show.  However some Best Buy stores do have playable MLB 12: The Show kiosks where you can take the game for a test run.  This doesn’t come as a big surprise since SCEA and Best Buy have worked together before doing a similar exclusive deal for the MLB 10: The Show demo.

Many fans would prefer the opportunity to try the game out from the comfort of their own home instead of having to travel to their local Best Buy.  Even so, it appears that right now only select Best Buy’s are stocked with the kiosks that allow you to play The Show so call your store and ask before you make the trip.  Will you go and give the demo a try or is it too much of a hassle?

UPDATE: Just to clarify, you can play the full game at Best Buy although technically it is still a “demo” since you are just giving it a try and can’t buy it.

FIFA 12 Roster Update Available

EA Sports has released the latest FIFA 12 roster update that you can now download on your XBOX 360, PlayStation 3 or PC. This update includes all of the transfers made in January.  Their are too many players moving around to list one by one but if you log into your console and download the update you will be able to find the important transfers.

In other news, FIFA Football is now available for the PlayStation Vita.  If you choose to purchase that game you will be able to get the latest transfers in your roster update as well.  You can download it automatically by entering into a head to head match on your PS Vita.
